Epicurious Drops Beef Recipes Due to Climate Concerns

Epicurious, a popular food media and recipe site, will no longer publish new content featuring beef due to concerns about beef’s large carbon footprint and impact on the climate. The move is self-described as “pro-planet” and meant to encourage more sustainable consumption.

If more mainstream publications begin to examine the systemic impacts of food choices and the relationship between animal protein and climate change, there could be a cultural shift towards more sustainable diets.
