UK to ban sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030

The UK government is expected to announce next week that it will bring forward the ban on petrol and diesel cars to 2030.

So what?

This contributes to an increasing awareness of the immediacy with which we must stop burning fossil fuels. Whilst switching to electric vehicles is alone not enough, it is crucial acknowledgement by those in power that rapid change is required.
