Indian papers ask Google for 85% of ad revenue share

Days after Australia enacted a law to make Google and Facebook pay news publishers, The Indian Newspaper Society has asked Google to increase the share of publishers’ share of advertising revenue to 85%.

This is part of a broader wave of change where Google has agreed to better compensate publishers and share advertising revenue fairly – notably in the European Union and in Australia.
