Chinese capital of coal rolls out 100% electric taxi fleet

Taiyuan in Shanxi province, a city of 4 million and at the core of China’s coal industry, has recently shifted its entire taxi fleet to electric. In a move that has caught the attention of the country, Taiyuan, made rich by coal, has sought to ween itself off fossil fuels and support EV production, in the process cleaning up its air pollution and setting a benchmark for other municipal governments.
