Indian State Andhra Pradesh the first to utilise blockchain for governance

Andhra Pradesh, or “AP” for shorthand, will be the first state in India to use blockchain technology to govern two of its departments.  AP government officials say that the state leads in “e-governance”, and plans to implement blockchain technology across the entire administration.  The initial blockchain pilot will include departments of Transportation and Land records only.
