In Brief Scientists found out that the ‘light barrier’ may be broken. This leads us closer to creating light-based computers and achieve computer speeds a million times faster than its speed today. Present-day computers process information using electrons. And the speed of data transfer is limited by the time it takes for the electrons to travel between the processor and the memory.
