In the time it takes England fast bowler Stuart Broad to bowl an over, the equivalent of four rubbish trucks’ worth of plastic is dumped into the ocean. It’s a fact that has prompted Broad and his teammates to back a campaign to reduce the use of plastic at one of the UK’s leading cricket grounds.
