Grow Observatory, a citizen science platform, is amongst the citizen observatories being launched in the later part of 2016. Grow invites the community to share data on land, soil and water resources, such as soil moisture quantities – to push for a smarter and more sustainable stewardship of our food and environment systems.

The platform will include a soil testing kit, a Massive Open Online Course for users, with frequent engagement with the broader European community, including scientists and policymakers.

Launched in November 2016, the platform seeks to connect dispersed communities, citizen organisations in issues relating to food justice, sustainable agriculture, and land.
