Major rivers across the Midwest are experiencing historically unprecedented levels of flooding. The disaster is already a billion dollar bill according to insurance experts. NOAA states the threat will become more widespread geographically and at least 200 million people are at risk for flooding in their communities. The Midwest is one of the largest agricultural regions for the US and the region is fearing for their livelihoods because of the $400 million affect as they’re cut from their livestock and supplies to care for them.
