Commitments to divest (or withdraw investment) from fossil fuels from 2,000 individuals and 400 organisations, totalled $2.6 trillion in 2015.

Among them is Leonardo DiCaprio, who has been beating the sustainability drum for years, and lately focused his efforts on divestment.

So what?

The movement hopes to both send a signal to the fossil fuel companies and practically limit their ability to invest in fossil fuel extraction, a huge contributor to climate change.
