The debate about the future of work has focused on the impact of technological change for advanced economies and been framed as both inevitable and having severe consequences for employment, livelihoods and wellbeing. Much less attention has been paid to creating a positive vision for employment and poverty reduction in low income countries, or identifying how major trends could help realise Sustainable Development Goal number 8: achieving full and productive employment, and decent work, for all women and men by 2030.

This webinar will explore the changing world of work in low income countries and ask how all sectors can work together to find new and sustainable paths to growth.

Speakers include Kathy Peach, Head of Innovation and Foresight at Bond, the UK membership body for NGOs working in international development. And Becky Faith, Deputy Leader in the Digital & Technology Cluster at The Institute of Development Studies, plus Joy Green, Senior Futures Researcher at Forum for the Future.
